USB PCControllerMini-Network is used for switching of up to 4 antennas or for Stack match control. This model’s specialty is its ability to work in network. Any networked computer can be used to control up to 3 controllers, connected to the main computer. Its main attraction is its easy and intuitive controllability through numerical part of PC's keyboard...

PIN 1PTTin is used for blocking the antenna switch during transmission. It is protected against overvoltages and galvanically insulated (optocoupler).
PIN 8 Analog in is used for rotator control, which means that it is unused in this version.

PCControllerMiniNet software

PCControllerMiniNetwork SW is comprised of Server and Client (PCControlerMiniNet_Server.exe and PCControlerMiniNet_Client.exe).
Whole package is copied in temporary map (e.g. C:\PCMiniNetwork ... - Windows installation is not needed) on the main computer, connected to PCControllerMini.

1. Start by executing the Server Program (PCControlerMiniNet_Server.exe).

2. Select »Setting« in main menu and so start the program Configure, then click »Install driver CH341« in the »Install driver« area and follow instructions.

 This concludes USB driver installation.

3. If the PCControllerMiniNet is already connected to USB port (1-3 controllers) click the »Setup Com Port 1 (picture A) and choose the port of our controller (picture B, COM4 in the shown example, COM1 is system port and is never used here. Click on »Open Com« and so connect to controller, which responds as per picture C (Com port, Arduino type and Software version). If automatic connection is desired, we can check-in the function AutoCom for each COM port.


After the connection to controller is established, we can determine output logic (output GND or output Plus (Vcc)). All connected controller icons will be green at this point:

4. We continue by starting Client Program on the main computer and/or any other computer on network. We go to the menu »Setup« and choose »Configure«. We confirm all the changes with »Save« and exit with »Close«.

A) In Main tab, in »Select the mode of work« field we choose function for Controller 1 (Interface 1), Controller 2 (Interface 2) and Controller 3 (Interface 3) respectively, provided that they are actually connected.

PCControllerMiniNet offers following functionalities at this moment:
◦ 4 x RX (switching of up to 4 RX antennas)
◦ 2 x Stack Match (Stack Match for 2 antennas)
◦ 3 x Stack Match (Stack Match for 3 antennas)

This field offers us also the »Auto change window interface«, which automatically hides currently unselected interfaces. Click in main window updates entries for next controller (example below for two stackmatch controllers / 14 and 21 MHz/ with Auto Change window interface (A and B) and without (C). This allows us to use just one key set (e.g. 1,2,3) for all 3 connected controllers (e.g. for 3 stack match controllers).


B) In the »TCP connection« field enter the IP of the main computer, running the Server Program. If the Server Program runs on the same computer, we can type just local IP: If automatic connection at program start in the future is desired, we can check the box »TCP Auto Connect«.

C) Choose desired program in the »Auto receive Options«. PCControllerMini currently supports Whispering and N1MM, Wintest is in testing stage.


D) In the tab »Antennas« we define directional diagrams for all connected controllers (up to 3) If we select Auto1-3 options, selected antennas wil switch automatically according to the prefix input to the logger program (N1MM etc). When using StackMatch, Auto functions should be off.

E) »View/Test« tab offers us to mark particular controller output. Those markings will be visible only when enabled through »Visible« check box, otherwise they will be named with defaults - Antenna 1 .. Antenna 12.

»Select Color« field enables us to increase color intensities. Changes will take effect after program restart.

F) We can use »Key Manual« tab to assign chosen key to desired outputs combination. This is useful in many situations, where single action demands synchronous setting of several outputs. (e.g Stack match might require switch of several relays for matching etc).

Every symbol that we intend to use, has to be enabled with a checkbox at its name. This enables to use other symbols in other programs. 

Example above shows two antenna Stack match. Key 1 controls upper antenna (TOP), key 2 controls bottom antenna (BOT), key 3 controls transformer relay (BOTH).

Due to the main window layout, matching transformer is always shown on fourth output (vertical signal) A4 or A8 or A12, depending on controller used.

Caution: Each change has to be saved with the key »Save«!

5. Network control of PCControllerMini_Net controllers As we have said before, PCControllerMiniNet_Client.exe program can be run on any computer in the network. In order to connect to server, we have to enter server’s IP address into program under menu “Setting→TCP Connection”. We have to look the address up on the server machine itself (menu Setting/User and info service), which contains IP address. This of course means that PCControllerMiniNet_Server.exe has to be running on the main computer that is connected to controllers.

 Connection result is shown immediatelly after establishment in main window of the server program (graphics in low left corner).

Main server window (graphics A) follows the state of all connections and operator actions on the network. We can see which controllers are connected and which outputs are active. Display is refreshed every second (blue signal blinks at each refresh), which should be enough for real-time response. Client sees only its own computer on selected controller. (graphics B).


All other Client settings within the Configure program are identical to settings on main computer.

6. Software upgrade

Software is being constantly developed and upgraded, which enables user to use it as long as h/is/er hardware is compatible with newest software versions. All s/he needs is internet connection and PCControllerMiniNet controller, connected to USB port.

We can check for existing upgrade by clicking “File→Check for new program version” (which starts the program UpDateX.exe within the package), which checks for existence of newer version and reacts correspondingly. All we have to do is follow the instructions precisely.

With this step we upgrade software as well as firmware. Old version is automatically deleted.
